Firstly, the whole design of the phone is a lot lighter and compact compared to my current phone, the color black, making it look very stylish. I especially like how I'm able to scroll up to read my previous message even though I'm in the midst of typing a reply because I sometimes forget what my friend replied because this is something I can't seem to do with the iPhone. The emoticons are exceptionally cute, and they make my typing easier since I can just select the one I want instead of manually typing out the various symbols. Plus, I can add a picture to the contact and the picture will appear when my friend sends me a message. On the whole, the messaging function is something that I really like, and how the messages are arranged in an organized fashion.
Though I really didn't use the BBM much since not a lot of my friends are blackberry users, but it's easy to use and also helps me to save on my messages (: I was able to stay in touch and get updates on what my friends are doing via Twitter and Facebook, and it was my companion when I'm on the bus/mrt. All these social networking sites enabled me to not only stay in touch but also allowed me to tweet and update my facebook status as and when I felt like it.
However, it took my quite some time to get use to the trackpad but I got the hang of it eventually ! I think that the red light blinking whenever a new message came in is really great since if the backlight were to light it, it could be quite distracting and once the backlight goes off, I'll forget that I've recieved a message. So the red light is a reminder for me (:
I would say that it's a user friendly phone with access to the internet, twitter, almost anything that I want with just a click of a button. Amazing what this phone can do. It's definitely not just a phone for working people or professionals. If I were given a chance, I would really want to get the Blackberry as my phone.
Thank you Ripplevox for picking me to trial this amazing phone out, I really had a lot of fun trying out the different applications (:
